Janusz repaired six windows in my flat, a couple of which were deemed ‘beyond repair’ by other specialists. I was at home while he was working on the windows, for longer than a week. Janusz refurbished and draught-proofed seven sash windows – both small and large – some of which were in a very poor state. I am very pleased to write a very positive review of the work ABC Windows recently did for our home. In total, we replaced five sash windows with double glazing, had all windows restored and painted and all windows draft proofed. We are very pleased with the end result. A very good quality finish. The difference in soundproofing and insulation is significant. ABC was also very clean throughout the process causing minimal disruption, finished on time and importantly at the same price as the initial quotation. Janusz was booked before Christmas 2015 to do some much needed work to our wooden sash windows. He was to replace our old wooden single paned sashes with new double glazed units, and also to refurbish some other wooden double glazing which had been installed some years before we moved in. He professionally installed the new units, carefully removing the old units so as not to damage the frames, and replaced sash cords, pulleys and weights. The result was amazing and many neighbours, friends and family have commented on how great they look. The benefit was immediate over Christmas, usually a very draughty kitchen was transformed. The work ran into the Christmas period, so we paused the refurbs until the New Year. All refurbishment was done to a high standard while keeping us informed of any changes to the expected state of the existing windows and frames. I found Janusz very easy to deal with and open to discussion on any point and didn’t mind lots of silly questions. The work was done within a reasonable period of time, he cleaned up daily after himself and took pride in his work – such a rarity these days. The only regret I have is not getting all of our windows replaced with new units. A really cost effective way to get new wooden sash windows while keeping existing frames in place with much less disruption than having entire windows and frames replaced (and all the re-plastering that requires). We may just get him back one of these days! I’d highly recommend Janusz and his work.

Janusz is thoughtful, well planned, tidy and conscientious. His prices were reasonable compared to other quotes. He is willing to renovate and fix stuff where others insisted we would have to replace the whole thing. The locks etc he fitted are of good quality.
